In keeping with our commitment to provide our patients with the highest quality of care, we take great measures to ensure that our sterilization procedures meet or exceed the standards set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administrators (OSHA) guidelines and the State of California Infection Control Guidelines. Our sterilization procedures include:

autoclave sterilization – state-of-the-art, hospital grade sterilizers are used for all instruments after each patient, killing all organisms with heat.  .

individual set-ups – cassettes or pouches of sterilized instruments are open just prior to each procedure. .

disposable items – whenever possible, disposable items are used. They are discarded after their use or if exposed to the treatment environment. .

disinfectants – all surface areas are disinfected to ensure a healthy working environment. 

protective covering – protective eyewear and masks are worn for all procedures that warrant their use.  Protective gloves are always worn while working on patients and a new pair is uses for each and every patient.

staff training – our staff receives continual training on the latest sterilization techniques and standards as set by the regulatory agencies.
